Interchangeable Tow Balls
Each hitch comes with 2 different tow balls to fit all of your towing needs. Easily changeable by removing the ball pin on the inside of the slider.
What size drop do I need?
Measure from the top of your vehicles receiver to the ground in inches
Subtract fourteen inches from your receiver measurement
Whatever drop length your calculated measurement is closest to should be your desired drop length. Round down if needed.
How Do I Determine My Shank Size?
The shank size should reflect the size of your vehicle's receiver. To ensure fit, measure the inside (wall to wall) of the square receiver located the back of your vehicle. Generally 1/2 ton are 2", 3/4 & 1 ton are 2.5", occasionally 1+ ton are 3"
What is Tongue Weight and How Much Should I Have?
Tongue weight is simply the downward force that the tongue of the trailer exerts on the hitch that is connected to the vehicle. For safest towing, a trailer’s hitch should bear a tongue weight between 10% – 15% of the trailer’s gross weight (GTW).
How does Weigh Safe Help With Tongue Weight?
The Weigh Safe hitch is the ONLY hitch on the market that accurately measures tongue weight using a built in gauge. Knowing your tongue weight can reduce wear on your vehicle, prevent excessive sway, and create a safer towing experience.
